Course selection materials for the 2011-2012 school year are now available on-line for students and parents to view and/or download. Students will be getting hard copies of the course selection forms in class this week. These forms are due back to the office no later than March 21, 2011. Students and parents alike can now view the information teachers have sent to their on-line gradebooks. The report, customized for each student, can be found by going to My Classes and Shortcuts. Once there, click on My Content, Private Reports. There is a pull-down menu at the top which will list all of a parent’s children at La Salle Academy. Choose the student of interest.
The grade report giving the latest set of grades is the report “Semester 2 Grade Update.” This will give the update for all classes. It is anticipated that this will be updated several times per week.
Archbishop Dolan Visits La Salle
On Wednesday, February 16, 2011, La Salle Academy and St. George Academy co-hosted a visitation by the Bishops of the schools’ respective congregations. The schools held a prayer service with Archbishop Timothy Dolan of the Catholic Archdiocese of New York, who was accompanied by the Very Rev. Philip Sandrick, Provincial of the Fathers of the Order of Saint Basil the Great, Brother Dennis Malloy, Visitor of the Christian Brothers District of Eastern North America, Most Rev. Paul Chomnycky, Bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Stamford, and Most Rev. Basil Losten, Bishop Emeritus Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Stamford. After the prayer service, which was attended by the students from all three schools, Archbishop Dolan toured the building and met with students and faculty from each school.
