College Financial Aid Night

Ms. Conroy and Ms. Fields invite you to please mark your calendars for this very important date. College Financial Aid Night will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at 6:30 PM. Mr. James Murphy, an alum of LSA and an expert in the area of college financial aid, will be here to explain the process and answer all questions. Any student that is looking to receive any form of financial aid for college must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This can be complicated and confusing for many families. Although the FAFSA cannot be submitted before January 1, 2014 (most colleges have a FAFSA submission deadline in February or March, but the sooner this is submitted, the better)   I recommend that parents begin working on the process now. Go to the FAFSA website (www.fafsa.ed.gov), create an account, and begin looking at what information you will need to provide. This will allow you to create a list of questions to bring with you to Financial Aid Night on January 15th. Although we will do our best to help you through the FAFSA, this is not an area that Ms. Fields and I specialize in, so it is important to take advantage of this opportunity to hear and speak with Mr. Murphy. I hope that you will make it a point to be there. Happy Holidays!
