Varsity Defeats Moore Catholic to earn berth in CHSAA B Championship Game
La Salle Cardinals varsity basketball, playing in the CHSAA B division semi-finals at
Cardinal Spellman, sprinted out to an early lead in their victory over Moore Catholic on Sunday afternoon.
Playing in the semi-finals for the 3rd consecutive year, the Cardinals used a stingy defense en route to a 40-20 halftime lead. In the second half, the Cardinals continued the trend of “defense first” on the way to the 68-46 victory. Korey Williams led the way with a career-high 23 points while Isaiah Allen-Smith added 15 points and James Bouknight chipped in 12 points.
With the win, La Salle has clinched a spot in the CHSAA B Championship Game on Friday, March 3rd at 6pm to be held at Fordham University Rose Hill Campus in the Bronx.
