Richard Angiullo

Class of 1964

After graduating from La Salle Academy, Richard Angiullo ’64 attended City College of New York and later, University of Delaware, where he received his bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, respectively, in Chemical Engineering. Richard spent over 40 years working for the DuPont Company in various manufacturing and business management assignments which gave him the opportunity to work all around the world. In 2005, he retired as President and General Manger for DuPont’s Division of Fluoroproducts, which is most well-known for producing Freon and Teflon.

Since his retirement, Richard has become active in the Diocese of Wilmington and Eastern Shore of Maryland. He currently lives in Avondale, Pennsylvania, and would love to learn how other members of his class are doing.

Stephen Burns

Class of 1976

Stephen Burns ’76, retired New York State Police Officer (MTAPD), hosted the first 9/11 Marine Flotilla Parade in New York Harbor this year in honor of the 20^th Anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001. Two parade formations of recreational boaters – one from Long Island Sound and one from the Atlantic Ocean – converged in Upper Bay near the Statue of Liberty and entered the Hudson River to pay tribute to the 2,977 victims of 9/11 and to those that have since succumbed to illnesses as a result of the tragedy. The parade of boaters slowed down to pay homage to the Freedom Tower and then proceeded to the U.S. Intrepid, where NYPD, NYS Police and NJ State Police helicopters flew over the parade of boaters to show their support.

Stephen is also the Founder and President of the 9/11 Recovery Agencies Artificial Reef Commemoration Project, Inc. The main focus of the project is to create two artificial reefs in memory of the 9/11 victims in New York waters.

William Rosario

Class of 2007

William Rosario ’07 currently resides in Brooklyn, NY and works as a Digital Communications Manager at Poly Prep Country Day School where he coordinates community emails and school-wide information on the Poly Parent Portal. While he was a student at La Salle, William worked for Leahey & Johnson P.C., a trial and appellate law firm on Wall Street, which allowed him to financially help his family as well as pay for his high school tuition. For this he is grateful to the Johnson family, specifically Peter Johnson Sr. ‘39, Veronica Johnson, Peter Johnson Jr. and Chris Johnson ‘80.

After graduating from La Salle, William attended CUNY Baruch College where he received his bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications. While at college, he also worked at Saint David’s School in the Upper East Side, where he assisted in fundraising, special events, helpdesk support, and networking through the technology and development departments. Saint David’s is where he found his passion to work in the field of education and continue his work today. Along with previously serving on La Salle’s Board of Trustees, he is a proud parent of two daughters and is currently training for the New York City Marathon!
