Bowling Headed to the City Championship!
Varsity and JV bowling teams competed in the first round of the bowling CHSAA Championship on Monday January 9, 2017. The top two teams in Bronx north division competed against the top two teams in The Brooklyn/Queens division.
Varsity defeated Stepinac High School as freshman Devin Flowers led all scores with games of 245, 246 and 207 for a 698 3 game series. Flowers was followed by Anthony Alvarez who had a 236 game, Eric Santana 202, 213 and Daquan King 216 game.
JV came away with a victory over Fordham Prep. Michael Anorve led all scores with a high game of 211. Freshman Jimmy Falcon had second high game with a 173 followed by Jonathan Pierre-Louis who bowled a 165 game. This win was special for both teams as it sets the stage for a rematch with Archbishop Malloy High School for the City Championship. The junior varsity team enters the City Championship undefeated (16-0).
