La Salle Academy’s October Recap
As the autumn season sets in, activities on 6th Street continue to ramp up. We have a lot of incredible news to share with the community. Please read below to learn what took place at La Salle in October.
The freshmen class had a healthy dose of competition during the 2023 Field Day. Pictured above is Homeroom 501 who came out on top as champions! This is the second year in a row that Homeroom 501 has taken home the championship banner.
The 2023 Fall Open Houses welcomed an increase from recent years in the number of prospective students braving the rainy weather. Families experienced firsthand why La Salle Academy and its commitment to Catholic values is a top high school choice for their children. We thank our parent ambassadors, alumni volunteers, and Board of Trustee members who joined us in showcasing what it means to be a Lasallian, as students “Enter to Learn, and Leave to Serve.” We look forward to welcoming many of these young men in the spring as members of the Class of 2028.
Seniors were accompanied by faculty and staff for a visit at Manhattan College. Recent graduates currently enrolled at Manhattan College joined the class of 2024 on their tours. Cardinals who joined are alumni Jerome Jose’ 23, Aaron Nunez ’23, Abdul Kande ’23,Eamon Moogan ’23, Jiahe Mei ’23, and Kelvin Lezama ’23.
On the fourth Friday of October, several students and faculty members wore pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We keep all those affected by breast cancer in our prayers.
