La Salle Soccer: Cardinals Fall Short to Sacred Heart in Season Finale

Wednesday, October 25, 2017, Yonkers, NY – In their final tune-up before the playoffs, the La Salle Cardinals came out flat in the second half and suffered a 5-2 loss to Sacred Heart at Fleming Park in Yonkers.  With the loss, the Cardinals finished the regular season at 5-7-1, in fourth place in the CHSAA “B” Division North, and will host a 1^st round playoff game on Monday, October 30^th.

John Heras scored his fourth goal of the season and Ernesto Castelan contributed his team leading 14^th goal of the season but it wasn’t enough to overcome an effective Sacred Heart offense.

Next Match:  The 2017 CHSAA “B” Soccer Playoffs begin on Monday, October 30^th. La Salle will host the #5 seed from the South Division, the Bishop Loughlin Lions.  The match is set for a 3:00pm kickoff at Field #44 on Randall’s Island.
