La Salle Track at Big Blue Track and Field Classic!

On April 18th, 2015, La Salle competed at the Big Blue Track and Field Classic held at St. Joseph by the Sea on Staten Island.

Our Sophomore athletes began the day running the 1600 meter relay. The A Relay placed 4th in their heat with a time of 4:10! Congratulations to J’nie Williams, the outstanding performer with an individual time of 59.44, Erik Saavedra, Reggie Outlaw, and William Cruz. The Lasalle B Relay ran a time of 4:45, placing 7th! This relay was comprised of Bryce Council, Kyle Kenny, Ryan Baizar, and Nelson Millwood.

The Running Redbirds also competed in the championship 4×100 meter relay placing 3rd. New varsity member J’nie Williams was joined by Seniors Marcel Brown, Tyral Stephenson and Tyler Martin.

La Salle will compete again in Part 2 of the Fordham Prep Developmental Meet on Tuesday, April 21, at Icahn Stadium on Randalls Island. The race is on to grab a spot as one of the four legs of the coveted Varsity 1600 meter relay, which has been the premiere event for Lasalle Academy over the past four seasons!
