This Week In Soccer: Head to Head With St. Peter’s
Monday, October 10, 2016 – The varsity soccer team tied St. Peter’s 0-0 in Staten Island. In a very hard fought game our defense led by senior Derek Criollo really stepped up and our goalkeeper, junior Leonardo Velez, played his best game of the year. It was a very well played game and both teams deserved the point that they received.
Wednesday, October 12, 2016 – The varsity soccer team tied St. Peter’s 2-2 at East River Park. Down 2-0 in the 2nd half the team rallied from behind to achieve a very hard fought point. Senior Jason Criollo added his team leading 6th goal of the season with about 20 minutes left to pull La Salle within one goal and senior Michael Garces scored his first goal of the season in his first game back from injury with about 5 minutes left in the game to tie the score. Both teams had chances in the final minutes but the game ended in a draw. Our next game is Friday at 4pm vs. Spellman @ East River Park Field 3.
