Two LSA Seniors Qualify as Finalists for Prestigious College Scholarships
La Salle Academy is honored to announce that two senior students have been named finalists for two prestigious full-tuition college scholarship programs. Kristian Olvera ’19 is a semi-finalist for Posse and a finalist for Questbridge and Christopher Sanchez ‘19 is a finalist for Questbridge.
Posse and Questbridge recruit high-achieving students from diverse backgrounds and provide support for them throughout their college experience. Both programs bring together small, diverse groups of talented students to train them to become our world’s future leaders. Kristian and Christopher both completed extensive applications and interviews as required by Posse and Questbridge.
“Both boys have been working very, very hard to complete the demanding application process. This is not easy, and I am very proud of them for making it thus far.” said Ms. Cernaro, La Salle Academy’s College Guidance Counselor.
If accepted into these programs, Kristian and Christopher will be matched with one of the top universities in the country, such as Vanderbilt University, University of Wisconsin, Lawrence University, Lafayette College, Yale University, Stanford University, and Princeton University. These stellar students have also applied to schools like Villanova University, Harvard University, University of Notre Dame, Case Western Reserve University, Colgate University and NYU.
Congratulations and good luck to both Kristian and Christopher!
