Varsity Basketball Advances to the Quarterfinals
Tuesday, February 19, 2019: Playing in the first round of the CHSAA playoffs on Tuesday, February 
19th, La Salle Academy’s varsity basketball team defeated Kennedy Catholic 61-42 at Mt. St. Michael Academy in the Bronx.
A total team effort, the Cardinals were led by Michael Carothers Jr.’s 16-point, 12-rebound and 7-assist effort. Jimmy Romero added 12 points and Branden Pannell chipped in 9 points.
With the win the Cardinals advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday, February 23rd at 4:30pm versus top-seeded All Hallows. The game will be held at Mt. St. Michael Academy in the Bronx.
